At the 10th of May, the 2nd run of the Nutrixxion MTB-marathon trophy stood on my schedule.

We arrived a few days earlier with all my support. And even before the race started I knew, that I would get a cheap Fango pack.

Even in the night before the race it was just raining.

Of course the crowd waited for the start at 10:00o´clock.

The short distance guys, like me, started together with the middle and long distance guys, but we stood behind the long distance crowd. Because of this you lost lots of time on the first km´s because of slower riding long distance riders.

Luckily the first part of the race was easy to ride, even because of the rain. Than in the middle of the race I found a group to ride with and we rode a good speed.

At the end, we were just a group of three and worked together really good and so we were able to gain some more places. The last downhill part was tough, because it already started to rain again, first it was technically, riding over roots, than I had to left the way, because I hit the brakes to hard, but nothing happened and I rode over the finish line.

I ended up on the 28th place overall of 150 and 5th in my AG of 50.

I was satisfied with my result, even because of the hard starting part. The next day, we watched the XC Elite race and were able to take a look on Sabine Spitz, Manuel Fumic and other pro´s. It´s awesome to watch them riding up and down hills that fast. Really impressive…

It was a great event, but the starting section…needs improvement

The next race will bethe: Schaeferwerk MTB-Marathon in Dassel…
