Last year at the Lake Gardo, both of kids were hooked up and wanted to participate at a real race and so, I registered both of them at the Black Forest Kids Marathon Kids race and myself as well, but for 60km distance.
We arrived early and after exercising a few round, Frederick became tired.
Anyhow, than it was time for his start in the U9 class with 39 starters.
Both of mine, did a good job, and were able to finish without having a crash and were satisfied with there results, even Fabian wanted to win, but there were to much kids at the starting line. But I´m sure, we´ll do some more kids races in the future.
Every kid received a certificate, which cheered them up a bit.
But I can tell you 99,5% of all kids were jealous of their jerseys. To be honest you like to ride for a mineral water or you be a Pirate, where everyone is scared of????
Mum Pirate did the 60km distance on Sunday, while having a child care fort he time. It went quite good for my first marathon this year. I expected a time of 4 1/2h, but I finished with a time of 3:50h and was satisfied as well.
@Nina: At our accident location with the tandem 10 years ago, I hold on for a minute of silence.
