Ahoy PIRATES!

Long time ago since my last race report. Two years gone and I’ve seen only two races (and too many beers), but stayed active while I toured and recorded a new CD with my band SUPER HOOLIGAN.
Usually, I race the regional and state championship race circuit, but since I’ve been away, I did an exhibition event that was sponsored by Georgia Olympic Committee  (Atlanta 1996 Olympics). This series (Georgia Games) consisits of over 30 different sporting disciplines including swimming, running, and, mountainbiking (yay!) to name a few.
This year also marks the twenty year anniversary for me racing mountainbikes  (starting with BMX/Motocross)!!!
The course was a multi-use trail (bike/horse/run) … mostly hard-packed singletrack with some rock sections and two stream crossings.

Overall very smooth and rolling with good speed.

Enjoying the 29’er size bike and the 2×10 transmission, very effecient shifting. The LEFTY fork is awesome!

Our group left the line at 0930 and it was already 27 degrees..we returned in 1:30 completing 2 circuits for 25.7KM (short course) with a little sprint at the end!

No podium, but top 5 finish for me which is also good training for my next race 03 AUGUST in Fontana Wilderness!

Until next time…

Keep the dirty side down!
